ABOUT
Sonja is a Finnish artist who is currently traveling around the world while working on different artistic projects.
Sonja's style could be described as minimalist Scandinavian with an abstract touch. She works mostly with lines and abstract shapes.
Sonja has been working as an artist since 2016. Sonja's art can be found on the streets of Paris, in Costa Rica as wall paintings and in Helsinki's cafes and cupolas. Sonja has organized art exhibitions around the world and plans to continue on the same path.
Sonja is currently represented by the Californian gallery Five3 Gallery and Finnish printshop Julistamo. Sonja has collaborated with brands such as Sephora, Maria Black, Warner Music, Nelly.com and Monki.
"I think the best thing about creating art is that there are no rules. When I'm working on a new piece, I think about what feels good and what looks good to me. The border between imagination and reality is blurred, which also gives the viewer the freedom to see what he feels in the work. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. With my art, I want to bring a little more freedom, beauty and playfulness into this world. Life shouldn't be so serious.”
